What's New in QuickBooks 2006?
Intuit has totally streamlined the 2006 version of QuickBooks. It is the biggest facelift QuickBooks has had in many years. I really love the four new centers they have added: Vendor Center, Customer Center, Employee Center & Report Center. All the centers show the entire relationship with customers, vendors or employees on one screen.

Vendor Center. When you select a vendor all transactions appear on the
right. They also combined all the navigators into one, which resembles a
flow chart for running a business. In other words, navigating in QuickBooks
is much easier.
For a complete list of new features in QuickBooks 2006 visit Intuit's website. This year Intuit also did away with the Basic version of QuickBooks and discontinued the $100 rebate for people that are upgrading.
We receive calls all the time asking how often should QuickBooks be upgraded and what version should be purchased. My recommendation is to upgrade QuickBooks every two years and to purchase QuickBooks Pro. Most of the time the new features can wait for a year.
