Save time by using pre-designed templates from QuickBooks
Inside your QuickBooks program lies a hidden treasure pre-made templates from QuickBooks. QuickBooks has over a hundred of these templates. There are templates for estimates, invoices, purchase orders, reports and more. All you have to do is select a template and click the download button.
To access the templates, click Lists > click Templates > click Template button >click Download Templates, your browser will open to QuickBooks Template Gallery. Define your search query by clicking the down arrows and click the Search button. Browse and find a template that you are interested in, click the Download button, click Open and QuickBooks places the template in the correct location.
Once a template is downloaded into QuickBooks, your new form templates will appear in the list of templates in your company file. You can add your own personal touches and you’re on your way to presenting unique forms that are right for your business.
You can edit these templates through Layout Designer. Add your own personal watermark to an estimate or invoice. To create a watermark, create a design in a graphic program like Studio. The watermark could be a room layout or a custom window treatment. When creating a watermark be sure to change the outline color to a very pale shade of the color you are using. You don't want your watermark to be overpowering. (Save your watermark in a .gif format; gif formats are very small in file size.)
Here's how to add a custom watermark to a QuickBooks template:
Click the Customize template button >choose an existing template > click Edit or click New > click Layout Designer > right click anywhere on the form > select Add > select Image >locate your image. Right click on your image > select Order > select Send Backwards.
