We all think our clients will never forget our smiling face and great personality. However, studies show that is not the case. You have to keep your company name in front of your customers constantly. Why do you think McDonalds keeps advertising? Fifteen years ago, we did window treatments for a parade home and we were able to place our business cards in most of the rooms. Two months later, we received a call from a former client who visited the parade home. She said she was so glad to find us again. She said, "I had forgotten your company name." I responded, did you look in the yellow pages? She said, "No." I couldn't believe it, I thought no one would forget me. At that point, I decided that I would prevent that from ever happening again. After much thought and consideration, we came up with the coffee mug idea. Almost everyone drinks comfort beverages such as coffee or tea. If you don't believe me, just watch how people hold their cups. A coffee mug is something most people won't throw away, therefore, my company name is in front of them every day. What more can you ask from a promotional item!
As many of you know, I just changed the name of my design business to Dandelion Interiors, Inc. After we install a job, we give our client a gift bag that contains two coffee mugs and gourmet coffee as a thank-you gift.
With the changing of our business name we needed new mugs with our logo and colors. When we need promotional products we always depend on 4imprint. We have used this company for years. Their products and customer service is superb. I ordered several samples from 4imprint and tested them out for a couple of months. We finally settled on the 11 oz. two tone mug. The pastel blue base color of the mug was a perfect match with our logo and the feel of the mug was perfect as well. The total cost for our thank-you gift is around $10.
