What are the Differences Between XP and Vista?

After you upgrade to Windows Vista and begin to explore, you might wonder where some of your old favorite features are, and how to perform the tasks you used to do in Windows XP. Microsoft has improved many features in Windows Vista and renamed a few programs to better reflect what they do. They have also moved some things around so they’ll be easier for you to use and find.

If you’re accustomed to Windows XP, this article will help make the transition to Windows Vista even easier for you.

Comments from Debbie:

Yes, Vista looks different than Windows XP, however, all of the features and folders are still there. You will see many names have changed i.e. "My Pictures" is now named "Pictures" the folder still contains photograph images. Our most frequently asked question when we tell Vista users to click on the Start button is "I don't have a Start button." The image above shows a screenshot of Vista's Start Menu. Notice the word Start has been replaced with the Windows Logo. So when someone says click on the Start button, just click on the Windows Logo in the bottom left corner.

If you are new to Vista, just start exploring by single clicking and right clicking.
