Use your Print Scrn button!

There are times when you need to print everything on your computer screen and the Print Scrn button does just that.  Press the Print Scrn button on your keyboard and whatever is displayed on your computer monitor will be stored in your Windows Clipboard.  Below is a perfect example of how to use this special feature.  This technique can also be used on websites when normal printing cuts off part of the page.

QuickBooks - Print hidden item codes in a group

  1. Open an Invoice or Estimate in QuickBooks.
  2. Press the Print Scrn button on your keyboard.  (it will seem like nothing happens)
  3. Open Microsoft Word.
  4. Click File, click Page Setup, change all the margins to .5 or .75, change the page Orientation to Landscape instead of Portrait, click OK.  Changing the page setup enables the image to be much larger.
  5. Press Ctrl V (paste) and voila the QuickBooks screen appears in Word.
  6. TIP: If you have several pages, print one page at a time, keep Word open, then delete the image and repeat the process to print additional pages.

Adding Custom Fields in the Vendor List

Add a custom field to record special rates from a credit card company.  Click on the Vendor List, select a vendor, click Additional Info tab, click Define Fields, and add three labels; type Interest Rate, Expiration Date & Special Terms. The interest rate is the fixed credit card rate, the expiration date is the date card expires, the special terms are 0% interest until June 2004.  Place check marks in the vendor column; these three labels will now be visible when you click on the Additional Info tab in the Vendor list.

Now when you need to know when your credit card's special rate expires, it will be easily accessible.

Custom fields can also be added to the Customer List and Employee List.  A field for Maiden Name in the Employee List is very helpful.

Sun Block from ForceField

If you need to protect your fabrics from the sun, this product just might be the ticket.  We have tested this product on several fabrics even silk and burlap; we have been very pleased with the results so far.  Be sure to do a test on any fabric before applying.

The UV Sun Block protects fabrics, fibers and colored surfaces from the fading and damage caused by the sun's rays. This unique formula absorbs the sun's energy of UV radiation, and then releases it in a harmless form. Fabrics and other fibers keep their resiliency and colors remain vibrant. The UV SunBlock is safe to use on all types of materials, including synthetics, and will not change the texture of the fabric. UV Sun Block works well with any mill treatment by adding an extra level of protection and is fast drying.

They also have a great Upholstery, Rug & Fabric Protector.  This product is great for treating cushions that are used frequently.

Management & Sales School

This powerful two-day school is guaranteed to change your business, and Steve Bursten puts that in writing.  His personal guarantee states "If you do not get multiple return in increased sales within 90 days, you may request a full refund - no questions asked".   He has also offered all Minutes Matter customers a special price of $195 if you register by August 4, 2003.  The regular price is $249, which is still a bargain.  I have heard great comments from people that have attended his class in Atlanta during Cheryl Strickland's Traveling School.  Want your business to grow, don't miss this seminar!

  • The top was stapled to a 1x 2 board.  The 11" projection at the bottom was achieved by bending a 1/4" steel rod purchased from Lowe's.  Rod was inserted into Rowley's fabric tube cover, then the covered rod was inserted into a rod pocket on back of the awning.
